I've been on Effexor XR for over 4 years now. I have recently added Lithium to boost the Effexor XR and it is working well. Effexor XR has got side effects like all medication but it works for me. With Lithium added I should be able to lower the dose of the Effexor. I was on 375mg a day for major depression and the headaches were too strong so I dropped back to 300mg which is better. I'm a runner and within 2 days of taking I had all my endurance and energy zapped. I was dizzy and it continued for months even after taking. I am now anemic and I feel all my problems started with this meds. I took it for 3 days and then a year later tried it again because my doc said it couldn't have been xyzal that caused my issues. Needless to say it did and I am still dealing with fatigue and anemia.

I have had simular issues. I first started taking chantix Oct 29, 2008. I had terrible abdominal pain and severe nausea. So, I convinced myself to continue taking the drug because I thought nausea and abdominal pain was better than continuing to smoke. Boy was I wrong. I quit smoking on Nov 15, 2008 AND quit taking chantix 3 days later. I knew I had to because chantix was making me very ill. I felt the Estring was the easiest way to resolve being the 1 in 3 who develop vaginal atrophy post-menopause. The first night I took Tizanidine, I was very drowsy and dizzy as if I were in a drunken stupor. I could not function at normal speeds and could not even stay awake to read a paper. Every night after the first night, I was fine!
