When I first went on Yaz, I experienced extreme mood swings like I do every single time I switch birth controls. However with Yaz, these mood swings seemed worse and seemed to last longer than after other birth control switches. I stayed on Yaz until all the commercials about side effects began playing and I switched again after that.

Hi. I read your review of Opana. You were on 60mg of oxycontin, and changed to 5mg of Opana, then had sweating, loss of appetite, no engery, etc. This is NOT because the opana is problematic. It is because your dr. put you on WAY too low of a dose of opana (oxymorphone). Opana is 5 to 7 times stronger than oxycontin mg per mg. That means he should have put you on at least 10mg of opana. I always mix turmeric powder in milk when I have fever to give me energy and soothe my nerves. It always helps me feel better. It doesn't bring down the fever, just helps me feel better.

I changed to Lyrica because I heard it was very effective for pain management & it is, but the side effects of weight gain & blurred vision are not worth it to me. I am planning to talk to my Doctor about switching. There are other side effects I could live with, but I'm not taking anything that makes me more hungry. I have enough problems in that area already.
