I am currently expiriencing severe back problems and it's a dilemma. The M.D prescribed (Morphine Sulfate) which is used to treat agonizing pain. I was told to take it (bid), of course running the risk of possibly becoming addicted to the narcotic. I took it as prescribed by necessity and recommendation. My mother, age 85, was taking Prednisone for pulmonary fibrosis and it caused congestive heart failure and she died about 3 wks after she started taking it. It also had a host of other unpleasant side effects, but death trumped those. It made her irritable, prone to emotional outbursts, skin breaking open and oozing, and more. Gordon Caldwell Fund

I saw it at Wal-mart and thought I would try it because prescription meds (acyclovair, Valtrex) really bother my stomach. I chewed 3 Herplex after a blister started in the corner of my mouth (those are the worst) and 3 more that evening and it was history the next day. I have used the bottle I had and can't find it anywhere in 2 states and online. This is the best product I have ever used on cold sores!!!! Can it still be purchased somewhere?

Epitol saved me from the most severe pain I have ever experienced in my life. My trigeminal neuralgia was so severe that suicide was beginning to be an option. Taking the Epitol three times a day, on a regular basis has almost completely relieved my pain symptoms. I take the maximum dosage allowed and hope that I can continue to take it, as I never want to be in that much pain again.

Two things I noticed that in my mind were directly linked to the medication: My breast cysts began to shrink so fast I could feel them doing so, and I had excruciating leg pain, especially upon going to bed at night. I had to stop taking it. Leg pains went away.
