L-arginine goes through certain changes in the body and in the process turns into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps widen the blood capillaries thereby resulting in improving blood circulation. In addition to this it also helps stimulate the production of growth hormone, insulin, and other substances in the body. L-arginine is primarily used in the treatment of cardiovascular and blood vessel conditions like congestive heart failure (CHF), chest pain, hypertension, and coronary artery disease.
