My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. Now that I'm on a stronger statin, I've upped my intake to 300 mg. a day of CoQ10, divided into morning and evening doses. And the h... View full comment

I took Lipitor for six months and my cholesterol dropped significantly. What I liked the most was that I experienced no side effects. I have nothing bad to say about this medication.

I started Piracetam on a Friday. I felt like I slept better and during waking hours, I didn't stress as much about things. I was very "mellow". I started getting a sore throat like a cold on Saturday. Then on Sunday afternoon, I felt a little feverish. By Sunday night, I had moderate fever and vomiting. I was in bed with fever for 24 hours. I discontinued Piracetam after Sunday lunch. By Tuesday afternoon, I was still weak, but able to eat and had no fever. Now on Wednesday, I have... View full comment
