went to an Ayurvedic practitioner for help with constant headaches and occasional migraines. She classified me with excess pitta and suggested I start Bhumyamalaki nightly as well as a few other things. It's been about 6-8 weeks and I think my head pain has been reduced and I haven't had any migraines.

Takes a while to have an effect, which is rough. But for me, once it did I just felt normal. I don't feel different, "high," "flat," or anything else. I just am not depressed - which is wonderful. It also had the unexpected side effect of greatly reducing my fear of flying.

This doesn't work for me. I have marked that it raises my stress level because, like another poster, it stresses me out when I go hiking and I can't be sure I will live through an asthma emergency. Luckily Advair keeps me OK.

The worst idea ever. I never even wanted the shot. The first shot I took for my mom but the second and third shot were forced. they held me down for those. After I got the shot I noticed I was getting sick a lot and that a cold was lasting up to a month. I started to get dizzy spells. I would get up and couldn't because I would almost fall down. My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. Benzamycin greatly aided in clearing up my acne, but in the long run, it made my skin very dry and irritated. I had to discontinue using it. With a moisturizer, my skin still suffered. Overall, it is effective but I would not recommend it for sensitive skin.
