Unfortunately, I have only recently started to recearch this medication and it's side effects. At first I thought effxor xr was the best thing that ever happened to me, but after taking it for 2 plus years I wish it was never prescribed to me. Everyone is different, I know, but so many people, me included, experience terrible side effects from missing ONE dose. My doctor told me that I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms. I usually only have to take Zyrtec during the spring. It is really effective and my allergy symptoms are relieved. Since it makes me drowsy, I take it right after dinner and before I go to bed. However, I become abnormally drowsy and have a really hard time waking up in the mornings.

When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.

Used to keep away infections during my cancer treatments, but caused a lot of nausea. Constantly throwing up and feeling sick led more than with the other antibiotics led me to request a different antibiotic after the first dose was up.

I stopped using this because of the side effects. At first it was great. But then I began sleeping longer and longer. I had trouble getting up in the mornings and all I wanted to do all day was go back to bed. We adjusted the dosages which did help a little but not enough.
