I have had the Mirena for well over 6 or 7 years (I'm on my second one). During this time, my acne has been difficult to control - especially on my back and chest. I have also been experiencing some problems with finding the right words and thinking straight, though I suppose this could be a sign of getting older. But I'm only 36, so I'm not that old! This birth control is possibly the worst ever made. I never had ANY problems with Seasonique and I switched to Quasense for insurance reasons. I would never recommend this to a friend. CONSTANT breakthrough bleeding, never know when to catch it, bad effects on sex life and low energy. Try any other form of birth control but this. By reading other reviews on the internet I'm sure that I am not alone.

It reduces my blood pressure significantly if taken at the right dosage but severe headaches accompany it so I'm taking a reduced dosage. Developed severe cough and allergic asthma also.
