Phenergan with codeine was prescribed to me when I had an upper respiratory infection (a cold). I had a very bad cough and bad congestion. I only took it at night because it had a significant drowsiness effect on me. I had to take more than the recommended amount to notice an effect on my cough- and I didn't feel like it was much more effective than over the counter products- except for putting me to sleep. Lyrica is one of the sneakiest little devil there is. First you feel great, it really helped with the nerve pain through out my body, and it knocked me out at night. I definitely couldn't take this medication in the day time, and forget about driving that is a joke! You can barely see, and that is if you aren't already lost from confusion. I used Seasonale for about 3 years, switched to OrthoTriCycline for about 3 years, and then recently my doctor switched me to Seasonique since I did so well on the Seasonale before and it is a similar drug. I took the drug for 7 weeks until I had to stop. I bled constantly for the last 4 weeks. I gained 10 lbs.
