I was on synthroid from 2003 to 2006 and I still had fatigue, brain fog and was still cold all the time. I complained to my endocrinologist and since he declared my labs "perfect" he could do nothing for me, when I inquired about Armour, he said he would not prescribe it. My grandfather has taken Niaspan for a little over 2 years, he started within the last month with more moderate waking up at night a flushing. It is ridiculous how Drs tell you to take half the drug at night, so you will be trying to sleep while the drug is not trying to keep you alert and active. And being dopey in the day because you have not got enough betahistine in you during the day to get you past the threshold for it to be effective. Take most of it early in the day. It is pointless taking it after 3pm you wont get the best use of it. Most Drs are very ignorant in its use and wont prescribe even the minimum amount... View full comment

loved it initially, but now i am not so sold, going hoarse, having yeast issues and am still having to use my rescue inhaler almost daily. so i am not certain what benefit i am getting. planning on going off it but not certain on an alternative, singulair didn't work.
