I have been taking zoloft for 4 months and started off with 25mg then increased to 50mg and now I am on 100mg. I can definately feel a difference with anxiety and feel more outgoing. I took another medication which made me have hallucinations for 5 days. I then had to seek a phychiarist who put me on the zoloft. At first the drug didn't work. However when I started taking it regularly, same time everyday, it worked. My doctor told me to not drink anything 1 hour before I took it or 8 hours after I took it. That was a major pain and sometimes I found myself dehydrated.

I was prescribed amitryptiline after a servere breakdown and agitated depression. It was due to stress at work, and my Doctor told me the drug would bring my neurotransmitters together, that the stress had knocked apart. It saved my life, as I was suicidal. Benadryl mildly helped my allergies but it made me very drowsy and out of of it especially the "Benadryl for Severe allergies" that I even fainted while I was at a doctor's appointment. No other medicine has ever made me so drowsy and I had never fainted before in my life. For these reasons I do not think I will take Benadryl again.

Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors.
