Started takin Aleve for knee pain. Developed abdominal pain and couldn't tell if it was bladder or gas. Did not put 2+2 together that it may have been a side effect from the aleve at first. That's how I wound up on this site. Stopped taking it and the abdominal pain went away.

I've been on it for just over a month. For the past 2-3 weeks I haven't been able to sleep through the night. I sleep for about 4-5 hours, then wake up repeatedly for the rest of the night (~5-12 times each night, so far) on my placebo week I had 2 very intense nightmares, the first about my boyfriend dying & the second about accidentally killing my cat. Advil is a great OTC medicine for minor pains like headaches, toothaches, and even menstrual cramps. It has been effective for me while not producing any negative side effects. However, it may not work as well on more stronger and long-term pains.
