Originally had severe soar throat, high temp, and fluid in ear. Received amoxilcillan and cleared up fever but still had spots then got cough. Tried augmentin and that didn't help, though upset my stomach. Trying to get rid of a cough I had for a month and fluid in the ear. I didn't want a 3rd antibiotic so was recommended I try this. If this didn't work then will try Biaxin XL PAC.

The medication has really helped clear up my roscea but at the expense of my digestive system. I already had IBS with diahhrea and recently had gallbladder surgery so when the diahhrea become worse I blamed it on the surgery but was confused because I didn't notice it to be any worse directly after surgery. It finally hit me that I had resumed Doxycycline Hyclate a few weeks after surgery and after looking up side affects, I now believe the worsing symptoms could very well be the medication.... Her blood pressure has dropped significantly since taking this medication. It used to be almost 200/ 90 and now her blood pressure is about 140/80, which is still a bit higher than normal, but still much lower than it used to be. She feels satisfied with how the pills are working, but does not enjoy having to take them everyday.
