I have had simular issues. I first started taking chantix Oct 29, 2008. I had terrible abdominal pain and severe nausea. So, I convinced myself to continue taking the drug because I thought nausea and abdominal pain was better than continuing to smoke. Boy was I wrong. I quit smoking on Nov 15, 2008 AND quit taking chantix 3 days later. I knew I had to because chantix was making me very ill. I have been told to take stool softeners and the occasional laxative to help with constipation which worsen the bladder feeling. For the past month I have taken 3 stool softeners every night before bed time and the don't help. The stool become so hard, when I wipe I find blood from the lining. I was prescribed Etizolam ,5 mg for my CBT sessions of Agoraphobia. As of now, the therapist and I are only working on the lower range of anxiety inducing situations (I was asked to rate anxiety situations). The medicine has helped in the sense I am able to face these situations and some of the physical symptoms (legs shaking etc) have disappeared.
