i have been on and off cymbalta for about 4or6 years . its a nightmare to get off of, the one thing i really dread is the twinges im not sure if thats a good way to explain it, i feel like im getting an electrical schock treatment all day. i can turn my head and it happens. if someone comes up behind me to scare me it shocks my system. sorry about the non-medical terms, it obviously upsets me and makes me irritable. I have been using Depo-Provera for about 5 years, and the experience for me has had pros and cons. While growing up I had very painful periods, and one year when I went in for an annual checkup the doctor had discovered a cyst on my ovary. The nurse said that the cyst could have been contributing to the pain I was having. They said if I continued having periods regularly that the cyst could continue to grow. Terrible! Try getting off this medication! It messes up your brain chemistry. I ended up in the psych ward after the terrible anxiety after trying to taper off. I did not alleviate any nerve pain that I had or still have. It's cousin Lyrica is just as dangerous! I would not suggest either of these meds. Antisiezure meds should be used for that purpose only.
