Unfortunately, I have had a real problem with hormonal birth control. I'm currently taking Microgestin, and while I'm kind of miserable on it, it's not as bad as what I experienced with Ortho. My only real complaint is that I have developed contact lens intolerance, and get red, gritty, painful eyes every time I wear my lenses for more than one day at a time. I received the gardasil shot about a year ago and now I have been diagnosed with high risk HPV. I am due to go see a gyno. next week and I am scared....I was never diagnosed with HPV only now a year later after getting the shot. Also, I have read that if you were already exposed to HPV prior to receiving the gardasil shot it increases chances of cervical cancer...why wouldn't my doctor tell me this?
