I get slightly flushed with Niaspam, but I take it with a baby aspirin and only when I'm going to bed. Some slight itching occurs, but I usually get to sleep fine anyway.

I have experienced severe anxiety and depression, coupled with incessant coughing and difficulty breathing. The joint pain has been unbearable. I would wake up at night feeling as though I was being tortured, in too much pain to even turn over. I now take the 25mg dosage on alternate days and that has reduced the side effects to just tolerable. I have been taking 2 mg xanax for over ten years. I stop taking it every once in a while after reading negative effects . It helps me with my constipation. I do have a hard time when trying to get off of it. I experience nausea, and become quite ill for about 4 days. I do not know if I should stay on it or not . I would like to know if there is any long term effects on being on it for an extended length of time.
