Terrible drug. I always felt like I was going to faint. Made it almost impossible to drive a car or function at work. Fell quite a few times due to dizziness. I would not recommend this drug. I never had high blood pressure to begin with, not sure why the Dr insisted that I take this drug. It was 120/70 which I always thought was normal. I was on so many medications, it is difficult to differentiate which medication was causing what side effect. The psychiatrist at the residential treatment center put me on the benadryl because I was unable to sleep more than 2 hours per night. The trazadone was not helping me sleep either. The doctor was baffled as to how I was able to stay awake for all those hours when most of the medications I was taking had sleepiness as a side effect. Was prescribed this drug for acute bronchitis. Was coughing severely. After start of treatment, I felt as if I were tearing avery tendon in my chest wall and back. 5 wks later, am still unable to move well or pick up even slightly heavy objects. When I sneeze, I still feel as if I'm tearing tissues in my chest wall. Did not seem effective on my bronchitis. This SHOULD NOT BE PRESCRIBED FOR ACUTE COUGHING!
