Try adding more purple to your diet!
Purple foods such as concord grapes, blueberries, plums, pomegranates, acai berries, red wine, and even eggplants are very high in antioxidants. Purple foods have been shown to protect your heart and vision, promote mental focus, and increase longevity. Research has indicated that purple foods may even be used to prevent or cure cancer.

Topamax Comments
21 Jan 2013
I recently stopped taking Topamax because it ruined me in more ways than one. I went from 130 pounds (5'7") to 105 pounds in about 2 months. I couldn't eat, I always felt full. I'm in college and my school work suffered because I had a mental fog all the time. I fumbled my words all the time and couldn't remember anything. It felt like I was losing brain function at age 22. Working in a pharmacy, I've heard several people with the same problem. Be very careful with this drug.

I have been taking topamax for a year helped me at first and lately my migranes are overwhelming but if i didn't take topamax they would be worse. They are very strong to the point where I want to cry on a daily basis and don't know my trigger. There are a lot of side effects but the headaches are unbeareable.

More About This Treatment
About Topamax
The generic name of this medication is topiramate and brand name is Topamax. The active ingredient of this medication is topiramate. Topamax is Manufactured by Pharmascience Inc. It is primarily used in the prevention of migraine headaches.
About Topiramate
Topiramate (brand name Topamax) is an anticonvulsant drug produced by Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, a division of Johnson & Johnson. It is used to treat epilepsy in both children and adults. In children it is also indicated for treatment of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (a disorder that causes seizures and developmental delays). It is also Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved for, and now most frequently prescribed for, the prevention of migraines. It has been used by psychiatrists to treat bipolar disorder, although it is not FDA approved for this purpose and such use is somewhat controversial. This drug has been investigated for use in treatment of obesity, especially to aid in the reduction of binge eating, and also as a possible treatment for alcoholism. However, these uses are not actively promoted by the manufacturer, and like its use for bipolar disorder, are off-label uses. The drug is also used in clinical trials to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A pilot study suggests that Topiramate is possibly effective against infantile spasm. In May 2006 the U.S. National Institutes of Health web site clinicaltrials.gov listed several studies sponsored by Ortho-McNeil which propose to examine the use of topiramate on migraine, cluster, and severe headaches within various demographics. Other off-label and investigational uses of Topiramate include: treatment of bulimia nervosa, smoking cessation, treatment of neuropathic pain.
