I am a 42 year old woman who suffers with heavy periods and have done for most of my life! I recently started taking Norethisterone to help with my periods, which has helped. I suffer with anemia due to heavy periods, so regularly take Ferrous Sulphate, however this upsets my stomach and makes me feel ill, so I try and take the liquid form which combines Vit C with the Iron. FYI Ladies - I have been treated for massive blood clots throughout my body because of Seasonique. The doc told me after 3 months I could go back to the gym - well went twice and developed lesions. I go to my son's FB game and within 30 min have 2nd degree burns. I am now on 2 inhalers because my pulmonary embolisms in the heat and humidity of summer make it virtually impossible to catch my breath. Seasonique isn't worth the risk. I have been on lipitor since Dec. 2008 and I was having pain in my legs. I told my Doctor in March 2009 the last time and he reassured me that it was unlikely to be lipitor. I continued to take it until April 26, 2009. Days before the pain had gotten so bad that I couldn't sleep, stand ,walk or sit. When I was still I had a dull throbbing pain in my muscles. Overall this drug was great. Even though I gave great skin now, my skin did improve. I thought my skin was really good to begin with but this just took things up to another level. I experienced a 12 pound weight loss and I was eating more then previous. I did have an increase in appetite but it didn't bother me because I was loosing so much weight. More energy than when using Advair with less cramps. Not on long enough to compare weight gain which was evident with Advair. Am considering other options due to mood swings and severe headaches (last half a day) from this drug. Lungs feel great, but other side effects seem to make this a poor choice.
