No negative effects at all, only good for treating acne rosecea. Had suffered fom this condition without knowing and seeking medical advice for two years with horrendous breakouts of spots,blisters and patches of inflamed skin. Ortho Tri Cyclen lo was absolutely terrible for me, it exacerbated my depression exponentially. Several people commented how "out of it" I appeared and I felt confused all the time. I could not organize or accomplish routine tasks without trouble. I was feverish and incredibly emotional. I could not wait to quit this birth control.

Have been on Carbimazole for just over six months.It was slowly reduced from 40mgs daily to 20mgs after two months. Then after five months found to be over medicated reduced to 10mgs. The symptoms i had whilst being over medicated were extreme exhaustion, dizziness and insomnia to mention a few.I also have severe hot flushes that come every two hour at night . The most positive and unanticipated side effect, besides clearing up my strep throat, is that I experience a level of energy that I haven't known for close to 4 years, since the birth of my son. It makes me think that I've had a long-term low level infection for a long time that the azithromycin is clearing up. We'll see what happens once my prescription runs out in a few days!

Six weeks with a Chinese MD acupucturist/herbalist drastically reduced my rapid heart rate, shakes and in general improved symptoms. If you can find a good Chinese-trained one, try acupuncture. Its not a cure but may be good for symptom control. Research at Harvard has shown it is effective for womens hormone problems and back pain.
