Dexedrine can act as an appetite suppressant. Although some may take advantage of this characteristic, I find that if I don't keep protein and small meals going and drink a lot of water I become edgy and nervy. Even if you don't feel hungry it is better to have a little something healthy (not sugary as this spikes and drops energy levels). When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.
