i have been on ortho tri cyclen for about a year and a half now...i was put on it because of its low hormones. other pills were making me feel sick because of the amount of hormones in them. ever since ive been on ortho tri cyclen, i develop yeast infections every 2-3 months. i am in and out of the gynocologist atleast 5 times a year for yeast infections. they are also hard to treat...OTC creams and diflucan prescriptions wont fully clear them. ortho tri cyclen is also ruining my sex life! i... I am very unhappy with this pill. I have had irregular bleeding accompanied by moderate to severe cramping, depression and feelings of detachment, my breasts have hurt nonstop for 2 months, and for the first time in my life I have acne.

The tender breast, and bloating were not pleasent as well as the sever sensitivity to emotions, mostly crying to Disney commercials. Other than that it did do its job in preventing pregnancy.

I am only taking this once per day instead of twice as that seems to be enough although I need to check with my doctor about doing that. Sometimes I take it twice when I know I will be visiting someone with cats

I have stopped and started three times, to be sure it was the Lipofen causing me the problems and got the same results every time. This being a non statin my doctor thought it might work on me because all Crestor and other statin type drugs have made me very ill. Don't know where to go from here; wish I knew why both statins and this make me so sick, and if there is another route to take.
