At first, the medication caused nausea, so the doctors reduced the prescribed dosage for me and since the dosage was decreased, nausea also decreased and went away. Prominent side effects included constipation and weakness and there were multiple other mild side effects that went away as the dosage was decreased more.

I started Piracetam on a Friday. I felt like I slept better and during waking hours, I didn't stress as much about things. I was very "mellow". I started getting a sore throat like a cold on Saturday. Then on Sunday afternoon, I felt a little feverish. By Sunday night, I had moderate fever and vomiting. I was in bed with fever for 24 hours. I started on Levothyroxine. but switched to Tirosint because my pharmacy didn't carry Levo. And since then, all of my symptoms that I had before I was even diagnosed have come back. Ive put on more weight, I have horrible acne, my skin is dry again, hair falling out, painful/stiff neck. But not there are new symptoms, like skipped periods (Ive taken two tests and theyve both been negative), bloating, restlessness, pain in my joints, hand cramps.
