I changed to Lyrica because I heard it was very effective for pain management & it is, but the side effects of weight gain & blurred vision are not worth it to me. I am planning to talk to my Doctor about switching. There are other side effects I could live with, but I'm not taking anything that makes me more hungry. I have enough problems in that area already.

I'm 17 and I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen for about a month now. I finished the first pack yesterday... (today I started the generic) Well, it helped with my acne and my mood is fine, but I have been on my period for 28 days. Although not strictly a benzodiazepine etizolam shares similar pharmacological properties. My professional opinion is that one should treat it with similar caution, i.e. avoid constant long-term use, use the minimum dose that provides a satisfactory response, either relief from a panic attack, disabling anxiety or the onset of sleep and NEVER exceed the maximum daily dose, 2mg/Day, that appears in the product literature. I love all of the Excedrin Migraine medicines. So far it is the only thing that works for me. It is unfortunate that the side effects are extremely strong. I don't handle caffeine well at all, so these pills make me very anxious. They keep me up at night, I have alot of energy and once it gave me diarhhea. The most important thing is, it gets rid of the migraine!
