Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.

This pill helped a great deal with my vertigo. It stopped the "world from spinning" around me. It did make me drowsy and I slept most of the time after taking it.

I have been in this treatment for the last five months. I am very satisfied as I have good and steady results and have not noticed any serious side effects. I feel safe and well treated. the dose I am taking has been steady for the last 4 months now. my platelet count varies from 50- 180.000. Thje only thing that wotties me is that the doctor cannot give me a plan as to how long I will be taking this medicine. I have not had a splenectomy.

I have had the Mirena for well over 6 or 7 years (I'm on my second one). During this time, my acne has been difficult to control - especially on my back and chest. I have also been experiencing some problems with finding the right words and thinking straight, though I suppose this could be a sign of getting older. But I'm only 36, so I'm not that old! negative side effects outweigh any positive benefits. blurred vision is debilitating as are the constant migraines and stomach gas which comes out in the form of constant burping and bloating.
