Was on Ortho tri Cyclen Lo before my pharmacy and insurance company switched me to this generic brand. I experienced a serious decrease in sex drive, which continues to this day. Besides that, the price is much better, and my menstraul cycles are scheduled to the day and time. I did not notice any significant weight gain or loss from this pill. It's worth trying, but if your libido changes as mine did, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

I TOOK ONLY ONE PILL! MY HEART STARTED RACING ! COULD NOT FOCUS ON ANYTHING LONG TERM! PANIC ATTACKS AND RESTLESSNESS! HAD TO WALK IN THE COLD TO SUBDUE ITS EFFECT! AFTER 4 HOURS STILL TRIPPING ON THIS CRAP!

i feel this way after almost one year (half that year was on the generic microgestin), and finally realized my feeling may be a side effect of junel. thought it was just me and didn't know how to control my mood. cryin right now actually :( i think i may skip tonight's pill and just stop birth control for good. the hormones are horrible for the environment anyways. i plan to start using condoms and natural family planning instead. ....or i may just try the ring bc it is supposedly much lower... I stopped using this because of the side effects. At first it was great. But then I began sleeping longer and longer. I had trouble getting up in the mornings and all I wanted to do all day was go back to bed. We adjusted the dosages which did help a little but not enough.

While I realize that everybody is different and one birth control pill may not be better than the next. I was given this pill because I have had bad side effects from the pill previously and my Dr said that this pill was designed for women just like me. All I will say is it is the worse pill I have even taken. My side effects were the worse than any pill I have tried previous. I would not recommend it!
