Did not enjoy taking this medication. Everytime I took it, I got a yeast infection..the one good thing is that the severity of my period lessened. i have not taken this medication in three years.

I was put on ativan 3 times per day starting in january for panic attacks that I was having. The problem with ativan is that if you are having a panic attack it takes a while for the medicine to kick in and stop it. I also was having some side effects with it such as tremors and nightmares. My doctor switched me to xanax and I liked it a lot better. It stopped my panic attacks within 10 minutes of taking the medicine vs the hour it took to stop them when I was taking the adivan. It's true that the taste is awful, and the bit of numbing is weird! But I have never slept better, and I wake up without any drug effects. I fall asleep about 20 minutes after I take it, so I plan accordingly. I find that it's less "yucky" if I place it under my tongue in such a way that I can make a tight "seal" over it with the rest of my tongue. After trying several other medications, Amrix was the first to relieve the intense constant pain in my head. I was extremely tired the first couple of weeks after I started taking it. How is it possible that product starts to cause severe stomach cramps, bloating within half-an-hour of intake, cause a debilitating abdomenal pain on its way to intestines, and triggers a strong diarhea within one-to two hours of intake? If this is due to Hexheimer Reaction - should I assume die-off reaction starts while Candex is in stomach? Is there candida in stomach as well?
