I have been taking Allegra-D for quite some time. Over the past 5 years, I have had increasingly painful menstrual cramps to the point where it affects bowel movements. I recently did some research and found that Allegra-D can be a cause for menstrual cramps. I stopped taking Allegra-D and the menstrual cramping and painful bowel movements have gone back to normal. I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. Carving for sugar has increased, gained 10# and all readings have jumped up remarkably since starting this medication. At first it helped the pain in my hands and generalized/overall aching pain. My daughter was given Yaz because she had horrible cramps and fatigue during her periods. Within 3 weeks she had pain in the back of her thigh - mostly while walking up stairs. Then her leg felt heavy. We went to two doctors and they didn't find anything. I took it for my strep throat, and while the pills were so large and difficult to take, within 24 hours i was able to tell that it was working. te down side was that i was supposed to take it for 10 days and all symptoms were one completely within 6 and 7, so i felt like i ws over medicating.

My doctor is switching me to Luvox CR to see if it improves my difficulty with short term memory loss. I have also begun to have a terrible time waking up in the morning. In reading about Luvox it seems that it is effective without the memory loss associated with Cymbalta on occasion. As we lowered the dose from 90mg to 60mg there was not a really signifigant increase in short term memory so switching to Luvox CR is our next option.
