One month after quitting smoking I suffered a fairly severe asthma attack and 3 episodes of migraine aura around 11 am daily (always had allergic rhinitis ,classic migraine which for the past 20 years or so no longer includes headache, just aura, and various food additive allergies), followed by a mild stroke causing temporary paresis of right leg from knee to foot. I am a clinical-neuropsychologist.I had a touch of arthritis but of late, I am having swelling and pain in my knees and the leg gets stiff. This was prescribed to me in USA but now that I am in India, I need more information before I consult a physician here. Since beginning Celexa, I have noticed a great improvement in anxiety levels and pre-menstrual agitation prior to menstruation. It seems that I have more patience overall feel more relaxed in tense situations. I noticed the changes within two weeks of taking the medication. Its weird, I thought I was going to have these awful side effects mentioned often. The only side effect, and for 2 days was mild nausea. It was prescribed for add. I do have a history of depression and I am currently going through a lot of stress. It has not helped me to concentrate more and I feel just as tired as before.
