Try adding more purple to your diet!
Purple foods such as concord grapes, blueberries, plums, pomegranates, acai berries, red wine, and even eggplants are very high in antioxidants. Hello, I am so so sorry to hear your affected so badly by this drug. Have you asked to be put on another similar drug which may not give you so many side affects. I take a vick sinus spray which helps my cough a little. Take care x Kath
—Posted by Kath
30 May 2015
I have experienced severe anxiety and depression, coupled with incessant coughing and difficulty breathing. The joint pain has been unbearable. I would wake up at night feeling as though I was being tortured, in too much pain to even turn over. I now take the 25mg dosage on alternate days and that has reduced the side effects to just tolerable. I would still say that I have a greatly diminished quality of life but having had a recurrence after 6 years in remission I am going to try to soldier on for as long as I can.

About Aromasin
The generic name of this medication is exemestane and brand name is Aromasin. Active ingredient of Aromasin is exemestane which is freely soluble in N, N-dimethylformamide, soluble in methanol, and insoluble in water. The inactive ingredients of Armoasin include: colloidal silicon dioxide and crospovidone; Aromasin is manufactured by Pfizer. Mainly used in treating advanced breast cancer in women that are post menopausal; whose disease has progressed despite treatment with other medicines.
About Exemestane
Exemestane (trade name Aromasin) is an oral steroidal aromatase inhibitor (but also known uniquely as an aromatase inactivator) used in the adjuvant treatment of hormonally-responsive (also called hormone-receptor-positive, estrogen-responsive) breast cancer in postmenopausal women. An aim in the treatment of hormone-receptor-positive patients in preventing recurrence is to lower estrogen levels that this breast cancer thrives on. The main source of estrogen is the ovaries in premenopausal women, while in post-menopausal women most of the body's estrogen is produced in the adrenal gland from the conversion of androgens into estrogen by the aromatase enzyme. Exemestane is an irreversible, steroidal aromatase inactivator, structurally related to the natural substrate androstenedione. It acts as a false substrate for the aromatase enzyme, and is processed to an intermediate that binds irreversibly to the active site of the enzyme causing its inactivation, an effect also known as "suicide inhibition." In other words, Exemestane, by being structurally similar to the target of the enzymes, permanently binds to those enzymes, thereby preventing them from ever completing their task of converting androgens into estrogens. The estrogen suppression rate for exemestane varies from 85% for estradiol (E2) to 95% for estrone (E1).
