I was irritated with things that normally wouldn't bother me, from my boss, to the kids, to the soccer coach, then spending the rest of the time feeling awful for how I responded to them. I had the hormones levels checked and since my body is running efficiently as ever, my doctor suggested Citalopram hydrobromide in 10 mg for the first two weeks. This is being given to my child to fight a MRSA infection that required surgery. We are hoping to get her switched out of it if her MRSA is susceptible to something else, as the side effects are really unpleasant. Her finger and toe joints are swelling and itchy; she throws up unless given anti-nausea meds; she's not eating; she sleeps a ton. That said, MRSA is also very unpleasant so sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

This pill has given me nothing but problems from the start. During the first few months I experienced weight gain, very sore breasts, mood swings, and worst of all hair loss. I would lose large clumps in the shower everyday. Also my periods were completely erratic. I was more regular when I was on no birth control. I stoped taking it after two years as i realized it was destroying my eyesight, liver and kidneys....I went to ayurvedic treatment and never looked back!! that was 8 years ago. The doctors wanted me to carry on for another 8 years. I refused.
