I take it along with Actos once a day and glucophage XR and all together they seem to do the job. My blood sugars are never quite as low as the target rates but I actually feel dizzy and crumby when I am within the 70-120 range for my blood sugars. I believe my blood sugar level should actually be slightly higher than the average person because I feel better when they are around 120-160. I know this is not the accepted view but that is how I feel.

Completely loved the convienience of the NuvaRing, seemed that every month the side effects got progressively worse, started out with a headache that lasted a week, then each month I would get a headache the day I would put a new ring in, eventually I ended up with severe diarrhea that I couldnt even eat and left me with horrible abdominal cramping. Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.
