Not 100% sure if all symptoms are due to taking carbimazole but have stiffness and pains in leg muscles and knees and also arms. Also seem to be bruising more easily and have hemaeroids and though not causing pain they are bleeding which is not coinciding with a bowel movement bleeding when passing urine, in between going to the toilet and when asleep. I think the prednisone made me feel worse and once I stopped taking it all the aforementioned negative symptoms disappeared.

Very effective medication! Worked great for me and others I know who have used it. Worst side effect is chapped lips and dry skin.

Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.
