i have been on yaz for 1 month and have not experienced any possitive effects! I started the pill as directed and have had my period none stop for 1 month since!i am going to continue taking the pill and see it gets better.

The drug has been working really well for me. My acne cleared up although there are still some red spots left. My skin improved tremendously! I usually take the medicine after eating lunch and dinner. When I take it without eating, I get very dizzy. Sometimes I take it right before I sleep, and my chest would feel heavy. Other than that,Doxycycline Hyclate has been working fine for me.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... I have been using Gymnema as part of a herbal tablet (along with chromium, B12, Glucomannan, etc) for a few months and took it twice per day. It gave me better numbers but not as good as I would like, and some consistency in my readings. Recently I changed to a capsule - hard as heck to swallow - that is a higher dosage.
