M/W/A 57yrs 6'+ 235lbs, was put on Simcor Sept 2010, due for first CBC since medication started next week. My triglycerides were through the roof, 500+, LDL was only 179, but HDL was in the basement, so DR put me on 1000-20 Simcor. He warned me of the "flushing" as he put it, and wanted me to take it at bedtime to limit this side effect. I was given this prescription by my dentist. I have to take 4 pill prior to going in to have my teeth cleaned or any dental work done because I have a fusion in my back and if I dont take the medicine prior it could cause a severe interaction with my blood and the metal in my back. It makes my stomach hurt when I take it but to me that is better than taking the chance of getting the infection

I normally chew on mint leaves, or have mint tea to soothe my stomach when I've had a heavy meal. It results in the release of gas or emptying of the bowels. I normally feel extremely drowsy after and have a mild headache. I feel extremely sleepy and lethargic the entire day, but the relief for the stomach is worth it.
