I suffered Panic Attacks, Depression, Anxiety, Heart Palpitations, ans convulsions while using microgestin for 5 years. I lived in a state of shock all day every day. I was in and out of emergancy rooms and doctors offices. I did not know that microgestin was causing all of my symptoms until I stopped taking it 4 months ago. None of the doctors put 2 and 2 together. Within a week of stopping the pill, I felt like a completely different person. I love my new life.

I was taking Darvocet as a substitute for Vicodin because I was having too much Delirium and Nausea with Vicodin. I have a high tolerance to pain killers and when I was taking Darvocet it had no noticeable effect on the pain. I eventually stopped taking the pills because the small amount of pain relief I received was not worth the nausea and delirium I was getting from the drug.

I am taking Proscar (finasteride) in its non-prescribed use as a hair loss drug. After taking it for 6 months, I have seen an effective stop to my hair loss, and an increase in the density of my hair in the front. New vellous (small/white) hairs are popping up around my scalp, and some of them continue to darken. Ortho Tri Cyclen lo was absolutely terrible for me, it exacerbated my depression exponentially. Several people commented how "out of it" I appeared and I felt confused all the time. I could not organize or accomplish routine tasks without trouble. I was feverish and incredibly emotional. I could not wait to quit this birth control.
