I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. Started taking Aleve for arthritis inflammation and after initial dosage of 3-4 tablets a day, now take one per day. On those days of extra work, outside in yard for instance, I take another in late afternoon or early evening for pain relief.
