Moderately effective pain relief, but wasn't strong enough for my specific case. I was in recovery from an internal-external hemorrhoidectomy, which is extremely painful. My surgeon recommended Oxycontin or Percocet, but my physician, knowing my history, advised against prescribing a more addictive drug, knowing my potential for dependency.

This is being given to my child to fight a MRSA infection that required surgery. We are hoping to get her switched out of it if her MRSA is susceptible to something else, as the side effects are really unpleasant. Her finger and toe joints are swelling and itchy; she throws up unless given anti-nausea meds; she's not eating; she sleeps a ton. That said, MRSA is also very unpleasant so sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

for the first couple of days it felt really harsh on my skin then i think i got used to it, my doctor had informed me not to be in the sunlight and this terrified me, as he mentioned this would make me feel itchy or burn if i stayed in the sun. Phenergan with codeine was prescribed to me when I had an upper respiratory infection (a cold). I had a very bad cough and bad congestion. I only took it at night because it had a significant drowsiness effect on me. I had to take more than the recommended amount to notice an effect on my cough- and I didn't feel like it was much more effective than over the counter products- except for putting me to sleep. I was given the Z pack for an upper respiratory infection. I took two tablets the first day and immediately started feeling better. This is now my third day on the Z pack and I am back to my normal self. This is a great antibiotic.
