I am confused as to dosing,as some articles say 2000 IU or 5,000IU.I want to use it to boost immunity to the flu. My husband had prostate cancer,I have fibromyalgia and have an 8 year old child.Some say do not take it on a sunny day.Others say up the dosages if there is a flu outbreak.Most MDs are clueless about vitamins.Mine has not heard of its usage for the Swine flu.Europe is way more advanced .Do I have to take it all winter? I have been taking diferrin for quite some time now. At times it is very effective, but at other times it can do absolutely nothing. Unfortunately, it makes my skin very dry and red. My skin begins to peel. This can be combatted with use of moisturizer. My skin sometimes hurts from it being over sensitized by the medicine.
