I have been taking Spiriva for many years. I have COPD even though I have never smoked. It worked well for me until recently....I am now 71....I have had many side effects, including urinary tract infections, severe constipation, depression, blurred vision, dry mouth. I have no other choice but stop taking this drug. I believe these side effects happen after taking for several years. I have no option but to take prednisone but it has destroyed the skin on my legs and it is now paper-thin. I have numerous bruises and am prone to skin-tearing and as a resukt, cellulitis. Prednisone also caused severe cataracts which almost cost me my eye-sight, it has weakened my bones, and elevated my heart beat.

I am very satisfied with Singulair. I have had no complications with it and I am able to take all of my other medications with no adverse side effects. I am confident that my asthma has improved and the use of my emergency inhaler has been greatly decreased to almost not needing it. I would be very sick without the use of Singulair.
