I've been searching everywhere to see if anyone else has had the same violent physical reaction to Candex. I am happy I found this page with a couple of posters who have had identical side effects. A year ago, I was put on a regimen of vitamins, fish oil, probiotics, etc., and completely cleaned up my diet. It was recommended that I also introduce Candex, which I did. Anything to feel better! Naproxen aka Aleve is probably the most effective drug, for me, to cure a headache. Be cautious when taking on an empty stomach. Not the best for ache and pain relief (I prefer ibuprofen), but an overall effective medication with very few side effects.

Not sure, but I think it causes some paranoia sometimes, though I do not have any visual or auditory hallucinations, and have never been diagnosed with any mental issues. I find as the length of time increases for me being on Vicodin, I find myself sometimes suffering from frequent paranoia, even though I have not increase the dosage my doctor prescribed. Zegerid has made my ankles swell. I am guessing it is the extra sodium it contains. It has helped my belching problem, however, it has contributed to a higher blood pressure reading.

I got a bacterial infection during my finals week and had over a 103 degree fever and wasn't eating at all. After taking the first dose of the z-pak I felt 100 times better by the next evening and was eating again with no fever
