Mirena is incredibly convenient. The worse part would be the "installation". I experienced some cramping that same day, along with some spotting over a period of about a month, maybe two. After that, it has been such a peace of mind knowing that I don't have to "remember" to take my pills or that I have to double up this day, etc.

After finding out I had Graves Disease and thyrotoxicosis in January 2010 I was put on carbimazole (think I had symptoms for nearly a year but always put them down to something else, maybe "change of life" etc) After only 6 days I had a severe allergic reaction to the carbimazole that nearly lost me my life! In my experience, this medication weakens malaria, but headache still remains for a while. But after, it goes away.

I love effexor and what it did for me. I don't like having to deal with hives and looking like I've been mugged. My face swells and the hives make me scratch holes in my skin. I've missed work because of frequent hospital trips. I would take effexor again, but I would really rather do without that particular side effect.

Purchased Alli when it first came on the market. Followed directions and diet exactly and was rewarded with severe constipation. At the time the drug company wasn't even recognizing this as a side effect and on there forums would only comment that they were looking into it. Ugh Very bad experience. I discontinued use and thank god Costco returned my money.
