I couldn't have asked for a better med. I had tried a couple of other meds whose side effects were too bothersome and by far Lamicatal has been the best. I don't feel sedated, I've experienced almost no side effects, and I feel in control and level headed. I was very sleepy when I first started taking it but that didn't last long.

My depression has lifted significantly, but not enough to say I think this is a great med for me. I've gained 10 pounds, have frequent bad headaches and believe that my vision has deteriorated. I am much more irritable and intense. I had great success with Prozac for many years and then it just pooped out. Since then I have been on just about every depression med. not much really. it has helped slow down the pain but not completely. i would say its not the best fast-pain reliever out there. its great for headaches and menstrual pain.
