I switched because of cost and this was the generic they caried. Oh goodness. It's been two weeks and I noticed I have crying spells and moody. This feeling of hopelessness/sadness. I have had bouts of depression and this pill seemed to magnify it for me. I do not want to keep people from trying it ..this is just my experience so far. I am switching back to microgestin(back to other pharmacy). I do not want to continue with it If I feel like this only two weeks in. So hopefully it will be bet... View full comment

I have pretty bad anxiety/OCD and Pristiq doesn't really help me with that. Maybe a little, but not much. I don't feel depressed taking it. Noticed my hair is falling out a little faster since I started taking Pristiq, but I'm a guy in his late 20's and it was already an issue, just not to the extent it is now. I was prescribed prednisone for two months to help with colitis. I developed Avascular Necrosis of the hips within 12 months due to this drug. I needed to have my hips replaced at age 31. They said it is a rare side effect, but it isn't rare enough.

I have been on this for 4 weeks and I do feel a bit better finally, I am smiling and that has got to be good. I expected it to be faster and more dramatic. Have had no severe side effects however I was nauseous and had dizzy spells to start with but they have pasted . Have started to feel breathless this week and teeth clenching - not sure if that is the pristiq or just me. As i am feeling better in myself i plan on starting to exercise and see if that helps too

Taken by a 16yo Lennox Gastaut patient. Seemed to increase partial seizures. Had 2 status seizures while on this med and began having Atonic seizures which she had not had in several years. Was very out of it and hardly sleeps. weaning this med now.
