I have been on cymbolta for years. I am tired of gaining weight and not being able to get rid of it. (no matter what I do) my friend told me her meds. made her metabolism slow down Cymbalta doesn't have a side effect of weight gain but I wondered since i have been on C for so long maybe it is effecting me. During the winter my hair tends to fall out while im taking this medication. I have been taking this medication since I was born and I have seen good results according to my bloodwork. I get my bloodwork done every 6 months and the only part I don't like is when they take my blood. Other than that I am very satisfied with this medication because the last time I went to the doctor's I gained 5-6 pounds !!! I was very happy about this !

Were you on the generic? I was--and took myself off it. Had a lot of pain and memory loss. I'm back on the armour now but will be running out of it in a few weeks. The doctor wants me to take the regular Synthroid now.
