I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one. I was 17 when I had my 3 Gardasil shots and 17 when I was diagnosed with RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS following the shots. It took a year for doctors to realize I had RA because I was a competitive athlete (they thought my joints were swollen because I have always been an athlete). I have tried 36 antidepressants during my lifetime and only two worked well for me - lofepramine (you cant get it in the US) and Wellbutrin.. I felt really really tired and lethargic on most other drugs, and some gave me some really nasty side effects - seizures from venlafaxine, suicidal tendencies with prozac, tics, anxiety or severe tiredness with others
