Shortly after starting a short course of this medication I starting having irregular (skipped) heartbeats upon light exertion. It took me two weeks to put two and two together and I have now stopped the medication. I have had irregular heartbeats in the past but they had not bothered me for several years. i wish that the manufacturer would give some indication of the length of time we can expect to experience side efects so that in stopping the medication ,we werent throwing the baby out with the bathwater.we all accept that all meds have side effects, but the severity and duration of them is difficult to assessfor someone new to the drug thanks for a very useful and informative source of information

Taking diamox for IIH. Along with the diamox and losing weight, my eye pressure has gone down and my field vision is better, still have a blurry spot in vision due to nerve damage. Swollen eye disc has reduced and no hemmoraging now in optic nerves.
