My daughter began taking Ortho-cept in August of 2009. It was the only prescription drug or any other , besides an occasional headache medicine she took. On September 11, 2009, she became light-headed at her college dorm and passed out. She came to and went again to get her roomate from another room and passed out a second time upon arriving there after only being there a few minutes. Pristiq has improved my feeling of well being 100%. The worst side effect is the blurred vision and I am concerned if I should go off the drug, and if my vision will return to normal after quitting the drug. I have also experienced sweeling in my left lower leg. Don't know if it is my first time with shin splints or if it has to do with the drug. Had a very mild and only occasional headache during the first three days.
