This was a very expensive drug that did absolutely nothing for me. It didn't prevent an oncoming migraine when taken at onset, nor did it dull the pain once the migraine was full blown. I didn't experience any side effects, but it did nothing for the pain.

Lolav, I find that for sleep the alternative therapies work better and with less side effects then the pharmaceutical approach. I suggest you check with a health food store to see what they recommend. Valerian is good and so is just plain old hot milk before bed. There are stronger Ayurvedic or Chinese herbs that you can Google- some are common and some you have to go to India for. I've been on sandomigran for at least 3 years now. I recently went up to 3 per day but it's not working. It worked really well for ages but no longer and the side effects are getting harder to tolerate. I find they have incresased on the higher dose so I am going back to the neurologist to see if there is an alternative. I've tried lots of other meds though. Hopefully there is something out there that can help.
